Mineville — Peter P. Kordziel, 73, of Harmony Lane in Mineville died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt.

He was born Nov. 23, 1929, in Witherbee, N.Y., the son of Peter Cosmos and Mary Ann (Lesniak) Kordziel.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and member of the Mineville VFW Post 5802. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Essex County Leathernecks of Northeastern New York.

Peter is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Chris Kordziel of Swendesboro, NJ, Stephen and Lorraine Kordziel of Remsen, Daniel and Jennifer Kordziel of Rotterdam; six daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline and Dave Myers of Guilderland, Theresa and Jonnie Batterson of Mineville, Elizabeth and Gary Haseltine of Argyle, Jane and Van Morrison stationed in England, Ann and Ed Parson of Fairbanks, AK., and Mary and Thomas Ida of Mineville; three brothers, Andrew Kordziel of Golden, Colo., John Kordziel of Mineville and Anthony Kordziel of Syracuse; 24 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife, Jane Kordziel on Oct. 24, 1996, and his son, Thomas on April 24,1986.
